Other Criminal Charges
Beyond my core practice areas, I represent clients facing disorderly conduct, public nuisance, vandalism, reckless driving, and other criminal charges throughout Oklahoma City and all 77 counties.
Criminal Defense for a Wide Range of Charges
Not every criminal charge fits neatly into a single category. I am well versed in Oklahoma criminal law and represent clients facing a variety of misdemeanor and felony charges beyond DUI, drug crimes, domestic violence, theft, and white collar offenses.
My mission is to represent my clients without judgment and with full commitment. I believe in equal representation, second chances, and appropriate sentencing. Whether you are facing a minor misdemeanor or a more serious charge, every case receives my full attention and dedication.
Other Criminal Offenses in Oklahoma
Disorderly Conduct
+Disorderly conduct in Oklahoma covers a broad range of unruly behavior, from excessive profanity in public to causing a disturbance through intoxicated behavior. Under Oklahoma law, this is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in county jail and fines.
Because the definition of “disorderly conduct” is broad, these charges can sometimes be challenged on constitutional grounds, particularly when they involve speech or expression. I evaluate each case to determine whether the charge is appropriate and develop the strongest possible defense. If convicted, this charge may later be eligible for expungement.
Public Nuisance
+A public nuisance charge in Oklahoma arises when a person interferes with rights held by the general public. This can include making unreasonable noise, conducting criminal activity that affects a neighborhood, or maintaining a property in a way that creates health or safety hazards.
Public nuisance charges can range from relatively minor offenses to charges connected to more serious criminal activity. I represent clients at every level, ensuring their rights are protected and working toward the best possible resolution.
Vandalism & Criminal Mischief
+Vandalism — any intentional damage, drawing, writing, or defacement of public or private property — is a criminal offense in Oklahoma. Penalties depend on the value of the damage: under $1,000 is a misdemeanor; $1,000 or more is a felony.
These charges can arise from a variety of situations, and the accused often has a different perspective on what happened. I work to present my clients’ side of the story and pursue reductions, restitution agreements, and deferred sentencing where appropriate.
Reckless Driving
+Under Oklahoma law (47 O.S. § 11-901), reckless driving means operating a vehicle in a careless or wanton manner without regard for the safety of persons or property. A first offense is a misdemeanor punishable by 5 to 90 days in jail and fines of $100 to $500. Second and subsequent offenses carry 10 days to 6 months in jail and fines of $150 to $1,000.
Texting while driving has become a significant focus of Oklahoma law enforcement and is a leading cause of reckless driving citations. I defend clients throughout the OKC metro area against reckless driving charges, working to reduce penalties and protect driving records.
Trespassing
+Criminal trespass in Oklahoma involves knowingly entering or remaining on another person’s property without permission. Depending on the circumstances — such as whether the property was posted, fenced, or whether the trespass was connected to another crime — charges can range from a misdemeanor to a felony.
Trespass charges often involve disputes about permission, unclear property boundaries, or misunderstandings. I work to present the full facts and context to achieve the best outcome for my clients.
